The first of this years workshops will be a fiddle workshop hosted by Armagh native Paul Bradley.
“A self-taught fiddler, northern fiddling informs his playing style. Brief tuition from Josephine Keegan and education from ‘ the hedgerows of life’ have helped shape his playing too.”
Paul is a well known fiddle player, maker and teacher, having been one of the fiddle tutors at the Willie Clancy week for many years (this year included), his first solo album Atlantic Roar (1998) earned rave reviews, including a five star rating in the Irish Times.
“key and style changes show off not only his talent and utter comfort with the instrument, but also his thorough understanding of the music he plays.” (Fintan Vallely)
Paul is no stranger to Music Under The Mountains, he has performed and taught at several past festivals and has quite recently moved his violin making work from Galway to the hills outside Hollywood, we hope you can join us for what looks to be the makings of a great workshop!
