The Dixie Micks are launching their new CD, ‘Down in the City’, with a performance in Poulaphouca House, on Tuesday December 30th.
The new CD, which was recorded in Dublin, France and Germany, is a collection of songs and instrumentals that reflect the band’s eclectic approach to music.
The Dixie Micks first came together to perform in The Dixie Bar, in the well known French ski resort of Morzine, and over the last number of years have performed in Ireland, Wales, England and Hong Kong! With the release of ‘Down in the City’, and the increased exposure it will bring to the band, the lads are looking forward to a busy 2015!
The Dixie Micks are: Mick McNamara (Vocals, Guitar, Bodhrán) Garry O’ Meara (Banjo, Mandolin, Backing Vocals) Paul Kelly (Fiddle, Mandolin) and Alan Doherty (Flute Whistles Percussion Backing Vocals).
